Attended the Laguna Art Museum Auction on Saturday night and had a great time. There were many friends there and the event looked to be very successful for the museum. There were a couple surprises, some hot artists didn't get any bids and some savvy collectors stole some great works (the benefit of these types of auctions). Artscene just announced that tickets are now available for the Artscene: 25, Los Angeles Art Awards dinner. The event will be held April 18th at LACMA and the evening will consist of an awards dinner and various panel discussions. This is the show where all kinds of artists are hung salon style throughout the galleries.
